The problem

The gap that compounds quietly

The pain

Your spoken word is the highest-bandwidth content you produce. You lose most of it

You talk to clients all day. You sit in meetings. You think out loud while driving. You dictate the contract or the medical note that the system requires. Each of those moments is denser information than anything you'll type — and most of it ends up unrecorded, undermined by note-taking, or trapped in audio nobody will listen to again.

The cost

The tools for capture are split across three categories that should be one

You use the iPhone Voice Memos app for quick captures. You use Otter or Granola or Fireflies for meetings. You use Dragon (still — somehow) for dictation, if your profession demands it. Three apps, three interfaces, three subscriptions, three search inboxes. The thing you actually want is one app that handles all three contexts.

With Voxist

Your data sits on US servers, by default

Otter is in San Francisco. Fireflies is American. Granola is American. tl;dv is American. The full meeting-capture category was built on US cloud, and most of the apps train their models on customer conversations unless you opt out by default. Healthcare professionals, lawyers, and anyone handling EU regulated data already have this problem; it's about to get worse.

How it works

One app, three modes, the same underlying engine

1

Mode 1 — On the go

Open the app, hit record, stop when you're done. Voxmemo transcribes in real time as you speak, in 40+ languages, with automatic punctuation and key-point extraction. Auto-syncs across iOS, Android, and web. Designed for phone calls, walking-and-thinking, driving, voice notes to yourself.

2

Mode 2 — In meetings

Voxmemo joins your Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or in-person meeting as a bot or as a local recorder. Speakers are automatically identified and tagged. The meeting is transcribed in real time. A structured summary, action items, and decisions are generated at the end. Push to Slack, Notion, Drive, OneDrive, or your CRM.

3

Mode 3 — At your desk

Dictation mode for professional writing. Medical notes, legal briefs, technical documentation, formal letters. Voxmemo handles domain vocabulary (medical, legal, technical, financial) with custom dictionaries. Voice commands for punctuation and formatting. Direct integration with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and EHR systems on request.

4

The same engine runs all three

Voxist's ASR — the engine behind Voxlive's enterprise contact center — runs at 4.2% word error rate on French, with comparable performance on other supported languages. The same engine that powers a Fortune 500 contact center is in your pocket. No quality cliff between modes.

Proof

The same engine that powers a Fortune 100 FMCG's expert-interview platform — in your pocket

Voxmemo runs on Voxist's production ASR engine — the same engine that powers Voxcept's Dynamic AI Interview at a Fortune 100 consumer goods company, the same engine that runs Voxlive contact centers. The transcription quality you experience as a Voxmemo user is the transcription quality engineered for enterprise-scale customer voice.

What makes it Voxist

Four things, every time

Latency

One app for three contexts that competitors split into three products

Otter is meeting-first. Granola is meeting-first. Fireflies is meeting-first. Apple Voice Memos doesn't transcribe. Dragon is desktop-only and €299 a year. Voxmemo is the only product that handles all three contexts — mobile capture, meeting transcription, professional dictation — under one subscription, one interface, one search.

Languages

40+ languages, real depth

French at 4.2% WER. Most competitors treat European languages as add-ons; Voxmemo treats them as foundations. The Voxist ASR engine is benchmarked publicly on the Voxist language leaderboard, updated monthly. You can pick the exact language and see exactly how Voxmemo performs.

Sovereignty

Sovereign by default

Built and hosted in Europe. GDPR-native. EU AI Act-ready. Your audio, your transcripts, your meeting summaries — none of it leaves the EU unless you explicitly choose otherwise. Voxist does not use customer audio to train models. For healthcare, legal, and other regulated professionals, this is the difference between "can use" and "cannot use under our compliance policy."

Outcomes

Outcomes that compound

Voxmemo users report saving 4–6 hours per week on meeting note-taking, 30–50% faster turnaround on dictated documents, and full searchability across every spoken-word moment of their week. Once the habit forms, the app becomes invisible — and the captured corpus becomes more valuable each month.

One platform, six products, one flywheel

push your meeting transcripts and dictated notes directly into your Voxcept enterprise knowledge graph. The meetings of your most senior experts become a tacit-knowledge corpus, not a one-time conversation.

record a meeting in mixed-language mode; Voxlingo translates the transcript on demand into any of the supported languages.

Voxreply captures the call; Voxmemo captures the meeting and the dictation. Together, every spoken word in your business day is captured, searchable, and ready to use.

Voxmemo’s transcription, summarization, and dictation features are also available as developer APIs. Same auth, same SDKs.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What's the difference between Voxmemo and Otter, Granola, or Fireflies?
Otter, Granola, and Fireflies are meeting-first products. They do meetings well; they don't do mobile voice memos or professional dictation. Voxmemo handles all three contexts (mobile, meetings, dictation) in one app, with European data residency by default, and with deeper language coverage on European languages. Buyers comparing Otter against Voxmemo are usually evaluating two products that overlap on meetings but diverge everywhere else. See the full comparison.
Does Voxmemo join my Zoom / Google Meet / Microsoft Teams meeting as a bot?
Yes. Voxmemo can either join as a bot (the most reliable option for full-meeting capture) or record locally on your machine (no bot, no extra attendee). Both options work. Bot-free local recording is the default on Voxmemo Pro and above.
What languages does Voxmemo support?
40+, with production-grade depth on European languages. Detailed performance by language is published on the Voxist ASR leaderboard, updated monthly. The list and accuracy numbers are public.
Can I use Voxmemo for medical or legal dictation?
Yes — Voxmemo Pro and above include medical, legal, technical, and financial vocabularies pre-loaded. Health data is hosted on HDS-certified infrastructure (France) on Business and Enterprise. For specialized medical workflows (EHR integration, specific medical specialties), the Enterprise tier supports custom vocabulary training and direct EHR integration on request.
Does Voxmemo train on my audio?
No. Voxist does not use customer audio to train models, on any tier. This is a non-negotiable design principle of the platform. Detailed data handling policy at /company/security/.
Can I run Voxmemo on-premise?
On Business and Enterprise tiers, yes. Sovereign cloud (OVHcloud, Scaleway), on-premise, or air-gapped deployment is available for organizations with strict data-residency requirements. The Free and Pro tiers run on Voxist’s EU-hosted infrastructure.
What’s the difference between Voxmemo and the Voxist API for transcription?
Voxmemo is a finished product — mobile app, web dashboard, meeting bot, dictation mode, summary generation, CRM integration. Voxist API is the underlying engine, exposed for developers who want to build their own product on top. Same transcription quality, same languages; different surfaces.
Does Voxmemo work offline?
Yes — recordings made offline on the mobile app are stored locally and uploaded for transcription when the device reconnects. Real-time transcription requires an internet connection.
Can I share a meeting recording with someone who isn’t a Voxmemo user?
Yes — shareable links work for anyone with the URL. On Business and above, you can also set link expirations, password-protect, and revoke access at any time.
Can my team share one Voxmemo Business account with shared meeting libraries?
Yes — that’s what Business is for. Per-seat pricing, shared library of meetings and transcripts (with per-seat privacy controls), single sign-on, admin can configure team-wide vocabulary and integration defaults.
